Academic sessions spanning 6 to 8 semesters under the Four Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) framework.

Multiple Entry & Exit

Exit at 1st Yr with Certificate, 2nd Yr with Diploma, 3rd Yr with Degree, or 4th Yr with Honors/Research.

Multidisciplinary

Freedom to choose subjects across disciplines (Arts, Science, Commerce) to ensure holistic development.

Credit Based System

Evaluation through a standardized Credit System (CBCS) and mandatory registration in the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC).

Calculation Methodology

  • Lecture Based Teaching: 1 Credit = 15 Periods (15 Hours)
  • Laboratory / Field Work: 1 Credit = 30 Periods (30 Hours)
  • 1 Semester = Duration of 6 Months (approx. 90 working days / 15 weeks).
Progression

Semester Wise Promotion Rules

Odd to Even Semester Promotion

Direct promotion from 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 4th, 5th to 6th, and 7th to 8th semester, provided the student has appeared in the End Semester Examination (ESE).

1st Year to 2nd Year (Sem II to III)

Must have earned a Minimum of 50% Credits (20 out of 40) in the cumulative results of Semester I and II.

2nd Year to 3rd Year (Sem IV to V)

Must have earned a Minimum of 50% Credits in Sem III and IV results, AND must have Cleared all Courses of the 1st Year (Sem I and II).

3rd Year to 4th Year (Sem VI to VII)

Must have Cleared all Courses from Semester I to VI. For Honors with Research, a minimum of 7.5 CGPA is required.

Important Provisions

Special Rules & Examination

Backlog Exams

Students can repeat the End Semester Examination (ESE) to clear backlogs. Rules strictly follow: Odd semesters in Odd ESE and Even semesters in Even ESE only.

Special Examination

Conducted after the declaration of VI Semester results to clear backlogs of V and VI sem, and after VIII Semester to clear VII and VIII sem backlogs.

Valuation Rules

There is No Provision for Supplementary Examinations or Revaluation. However, the Provision of Challenged Valuation is available for students.

Evaluation Pattern

A balanced evaluation consisting of 30% Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) and 70% End Semester Examination (ESE).
